Liability law, in all its various guises, is a focal point of Winter’s practice. He represents self-employed professionals (such as doctors, lawyers, tax advisors, auditors, architects), executives and executive bodies of legal entities, companies (particularly in product liability cases), and government institutions (including the Federal Cartel Office and the German banking regulator, BaFin). Winter also occasionally represents claimants in liability proceedings.
Winter frequently collaborates with the insurers backing his clients. Moreover, he has been, and remains, entrusted with defending several automobile manufacturers against claims brought by purchasers, and has particular expertise in handling mass claims.
